Most wedding planning guidelines will tell you to book your makeup artist 6 months out from a wedding. I regularly take bookings 6 months to 1 year out. This does not mean that I book up and have no availability at all, but if you have made the decision that you definitely want me as your makeup artist for your wedding, I recommend contacting me ASAP. Once availability has been confirmed, a consultation can be arranged in order to book your date!
- A signed contract along with a $50 deposit is required for all wedding bookings. No date can be held or guaranteed without a signed contract and deposit. The deposit will be deducted from the total amount on the day of services.
Freelance makeup artists book clients just like a beauty salon, some days an artist may have two wedding parties. This is scheduled with a window of time in between weddings so they do not conflict. Multiple bookings are only scheduled if the requested time is different. For example, a wedding party between 8-11am for a ceremony start time of 1pm and a wedding party between 2-4pm for a ceremony start time of 5pm could possibly be booked on the same day. The makeup contract will designate precisely what time you will have makeup services performed and this will be based on the bride’s need for services.
I use a variety of products including Make Up For Ever, MAC, Temptu, NARS, Smashbox, Urban Decay, Dior, as well as some you might not recognize that are formulated for HD film and TV.
There are many different types of airbrush products on the market today and the type that is used makes all the difference. Artistic technique also has a substantial impact on how the resulting application will look. I use an HD film & television foundation from Temptu, one of the leading airbrush cosmetic brands in the industry. Not only made to last 12 plus hour with minimal touch-ups required, it is highly compatible with all skin types. I also use professional airbrush guns and compressors made by Iwata and Temptu, two of the leading airbrush manufacturers in the world.
- The reason airbrush makeup looks so much smoother than traditional foundation is simple; it is applied with a fine mist of air, rather than being pushed into the skin and pores like traditional foundation, minimizing the appearance of skin texture and pores.
- The result in an extremely smooth, long-lasting finish. I feel so strongly that airbrush foundation is essential in ensuring flawless and enduring makeup that I offer complementary airbrush for every bride as well as for all her bridal party members.
False lashes are essential to enhancing the eyes and completing a look. I use individual lashes & strip lashes depending on each individual’s eye shape. Individual Lashes are extremely comfortable and long lasting. Strip Lashes are great for adding extra drama to the eye; they do take a few minutes to adjust to if they have not been worn before. Both types are applied with a safe, surgical adhesive that is safe for the skin and eye area including contact wearers.
I can accommodate as many people as you have in your party. I am personally available for bookings up to six members and if you have a larger bridal party, another trained artist will be booked to expedite applications.
